This book is a concise, practical, step-by-step guide for anyone starting with Apple's iOS platform. It includes a wealth of useful information and tips ranging from product strategy (e.g. Blue Ocean), customer development, product launch, social media marketing, the iOS development/submission process, and post-launch support. On top of that, at the end of each chapter he included interviews with some of popular iOS developers/entrepreneurs (e.g. Mobclix, Smule) lots of valuable lessons learned from the iOS community. Rating This is a relatively small book that shows you qkilucy how to write iPhone apps using the web. Although the author spends the first stage getting newbs up to speed on html, javascript and css, it's really a waste of time. If you really need to read that stage then this book is going to be way over your head. I delight in programming books that don't mess around and get right to the code and leave out the fluff. This author does that. He could have easily exploded this book from 190 pages to 400 easily. One last thing, the author has selected the jQuery library for his javascript framework. 5 stars for that!
